For Jardan Creative Director Renee Garnham, good design isn't about making a statement. It's about creating pieces that become part of everyday life and are relevant long after they arrive in a home.
That philosophy runs through Arden, Jardan's latest furniture collection. Defined by generous forms and a quiet sense of confidence.
"With Arden, we wanted to create a collection that felt grounded, generous and quietly confident," Renee explains. "The brief was really about warmth — pieces that bring softness and calm to a space, while still having a strong sense of presence."

While the finished collection feels effortless, achieving that balance required careful refinement. Throughout the design process, the team worked to ensure each piece felt substantial without becoming heavy.
"One of the biggest challenges was finding the right balance between solidity and softness," Renee says. "We wanted Arden to have an architectural quality, but never feel imposing."
Among the collection, the Arden Organic Dining Table remains a favourite.
"It really captures the spirit of the collection," she says. "I'm especially drawn to the way its form feels both bold and calm at the same time."

The same attention to materiality can be found in Interwoven: Motions of Passage, Jardan's latest rug collection. Designed in Australia and handwoven in India, the collection explores the relationship between contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship.
For Renee, the success of the collection came from allowing the handwoven process to remain visible rather than attempting to perfect it.
"We approached the designs with a contemporary sensibility, but always with deep respect for the handwoven process and the knowledge behind it," she says. "We tried to create space for the craftsmanship itself to remain visible, so the finished pieces feel considered but still very human."

There's something very grounding about living with pieces that invite you to slow down and notice the care behind how something was made."

"They carry the mark of time, skill and touch," she says. "There's something very grounding about living with pieces that invite you to slow down and notice the care behind how something was made."
It's a sentiment that sits at the heart of Interwoven. The subtle variations within each rug are not imperfections to be hidden but evidence of the hands that created them. Those details tell a story of knowledge passed between generations of artisans.
Across every collection, Jardan's approach remains consistent. Whether it's a dining table or a handwoven rug, the goal is not simply to create beautiful objects. It's to create pieces that people live with and appreciate more deeply over time.
